Firwood Welcomes 2020 Interns!

MIKALA WILLOUGHBY: Mikaila was a camper at Firwood for 5 years and has been on summer staff for 4 years now! After returning from her YWAM experience in the spring of 2019, she has been continuing her education at WWU; to pursue a career in school counseling. She enjoys sailing, campouts and leading Bible study while at camp. MIRANDA SWEIGERT: Miranda was a camper for 5 years and has been on staff for 5 summers! She recently graduated from Seattle Pacific University with her Bachelor of Science in General Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. At camp she enjoys sailing, leading worship and encouraging others in their pursuit of Christ. They are both excited to be pursuing their call to ministry in this season at Firwood this year.

The Firs Welcomes New Fircreek Intern!

Baker Hanson (a.k.a. Kakinjunga) has served with both Fircreek and ASA for a number of years and has now returned as the 2020 Fircreek Intern. Baker has become a fixture within the Fircreek community and is known as someone who builds others up and serves his heart out! He’s an avid fan of the Seattle Mariners and the Seattle Seahawks, he plays guitar and has even written some songs for Fircreek JAM! We are super excited to have him back on the team for another great year!

Firs & Fiddleheads Forest School Open Forest/House

Firs & Fiddleheads will host an OPEN FOREST on Saturday, February 29, from 10am-12pm, for families of preschoolers 3-5 years old. Come and meet our teachers, explore our outdoor classrooms and learn why the forest is an excellent learning environment!
